AutoCMRA is the mobile companion to the AutoCMRA desktop application, which automates the USPS 1583 form process for Commercial Mail Receiving Agencies, private mailbox and shipping stores that must keep USPS Form 1583 records in order. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Look up any customer and their mailbox assignment in seconds • See what needs attention: expiring identification, unsigned 1583s, and customers who aren't yet compliant • Call, text, or email a customer straight from their record • Complete a full Form 1583 enrollment on the phone — applicant details, address, primary and secondary identification, authorized individuals, and signatures captured on the device • Photograph identification and have the details read back automatically • Scan an already-signed 1583 packet and file it against a customer • Add an authorized addressee to an existing mailbox • Pair with the desktop application by scanning a QR code, so work that starts at the counter can be finished anywhere in the store BUILT FOR THE COUNTER Enrollments that used to mean a customer standing at a desk can now happen wherever they are. Identification is captured once and filed against the right record, so nothing has to be re-keyed later. REQUIRES AN AUTOCMRA ACCOUNT This app is for existing AutoCMRA customers. Access uses store credentials issued by your account owner; there is no sign-up in the app. After the first sign-in, Face ID or Touch ID can unlock it.

Verdict
Yale Access and AutoCMRA both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of AutoCMRA's written reviews are positive against 41% of Yale Access's. AutoCMRA also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). Yale Access's advantage is ratings volume (76K vs 3). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Yale Access against 5.0 for AutoCMRA. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yale Access has 76K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 41% of Yale Access's written reviews are positive against 100% of AutoCMRA's.
Yale Access ships an update fortnightly, AutoCMRA every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
