About

Power Planner

Features

Power Planner sizes generators and builds complete power plans for events, construction sites, off-grid camps, and field operations. Every other tool gives you a flat wattage guess. Power Planner gives you a real bill of materials: the generator size, the fuel, the leads, the distribution boxes - and what happens when something fails. TWO MODES POWER PLANNER — Have a generator? Add your appliances and instantly see load percentage, surge headroom, and fuel burn. Perfect for camping, caravans, tradies, and home blackout backup. POWER PLANNER PRO — Need power for an event or site? Add your equipment and get told what to hire or bring: • Three-tier load model: connected load, realistic demand load (duty cycles), and design load with a 25% safety buffer • Generator recommendations from standard commercial sizes (8–1000 kVA), including dual-unit redundancy options • Multi-generator planning: assign equipment to zones, balance three-phase loads, and see per-unit utilisation • Fuel logistics: burn rates, daily and total litres, jerry cans, drums, and resupply runs • Distribution kit: lead counts by plug type (10A / 15A / 32A / hardwired), distro boxes, and cable estimates • Load priority tagging (Critical / Essential / Deferrable) with an automatic load-shedding plan if a generator fails • Recommended startup sequence to manage motor surge • Generator service schedule tracking with hour meters • Cost estimation and quote builder for hire companies • CSV equipment import, PDF plan export, shareable plans Scenario presets get you started fast: events and festivals, construction sites, accommodation and camps, and more. A Field Ops template pack for defence and government logistics users is available via access code (see the About screen). BUILT FOR THE FIELD Power Planner works 100% offline. No account, no sign-in, no cloud, no data collection — your plans stay on your device. Use it in a paddock, a basement, or anywhere else the job takes you. IMPORTANT Power Planner produces planning estimates only. All power configurations must be verified by a qualified licensed electrician before implementation.
