SafeCards is like a password manager for your most sensitive IDs and documents. Secure your vaccine card, passport, healthIDs, license, registration and more. Unlike other cloud storage apps, SafeCards is built with security and privacy in mind. Each vault is completely encrypted and stored on your device and in iCloud. No one - neither SafeCard or Apple - can read your files. SafeCards excels at collaboration with your close family members. Couples can access each other’s vaccine cards, licenses and passports; parents can share health records for their kids; and caregivers can securely hold directives and power of attorneys that can be accessed at a moments notice. Everything you normally keep in a filing cabinet is available everywhere you take your phone. As a result, SafeCards is also great for disaster preparedness. It works completely offline when the web isn’t available, so that you can take insurance IDs, licenses, prescriptions and more anywhere you go. SafeCards requires no account, email, username or password and stores no personal data. It is secured by Apple FaceID and iCloud. As a result, SafeCards keeps zero data about its users, making it one of the most privacy friendly applications available. SafeCards is dead-simple to use. Simply point and shoot your documents using the built-in scanner. Images are auto-adjusted before being encrypted and stored.

Verdict
My Verisure and SafeCards both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of SafeCards's written reviews are positive against 36% of My Verisure's. SafeCards also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). My Verisure's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 5). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for My Verisure against 4.8 for SafeCards. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Verisure has 1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 36% of My Verisure's written reviews are positive against 100% of SafeCards's.
My Verisure ships an update every 9 days, SafeCards every 3 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
