Sibyl Sim helps healthcare simulation faculty prepare, run, observe, record, and review learning scenarios across iPhone and iPad. SET UP A ROOM YOU CAN REUSE Guided Room Setup brings camera positions, observer devices, and sound locations together in a saved room profile. See which devices need attention, follow connection guidance, and complete Room Check before learners begin. Your setup choices stay in place while devices reconnect or you update connection settings. CHOOSE THE ROLE FOR EACH DEVICE Control Hub Use an iPad as the command center for your simulation. Connect up to three approved cameras, view their silent previews, select one Main Camera for recording and observer output, play sound cues, and mark important moments for debriefing. Recording, camera views, and broadcasting have separate controls. Room Camera Turn an iPhone or iPad into a dedicated room camera and microphone. Choose from supported rear camera lenses, check readiness and connection status, and keep capture under faculty control. Observer Join the faculty-approved Main Camera feed from another iPhone or iPad. For an observation-room television, use the separate Sibyl Sim app for Apple TV with an approved local connection. RETURN TO THE MOMENTS THAT MATTER Review recordings on the Control Hub, add timestamped debrief moments, keep private facilitator notes, and choose which learner takeaways to share. Search a saved transcript and jump to its source timestamp. Review suggested sound events and decide which deserve a debrief marker; rescanning preserves your reviewed decisions and recorded Soundboard cues. PREPARE OPTIONAL OFFLINE SPEECH Check speech readiness and download supported language assets from Settings or Guided Setup before the room goes offline, even before your first recording. Use optional live captions on the Control Hub and create timestamped transcripts from saved recordings. Availability depends on the device, language, and installed assets. Speech setup does not activate the microphone or start recording, and core room operation does not require these optional features. SOUND FOR THE SCENARIO Use built-in simulation atmosphere and alarm cues, import reviewed audio, record a custom sound, and direct cues to approved room or observer endpoints. Pin frequently used cues for access during a session. PRIVACY-FIRST CONTROLS Privacy Stop blocks recording, broadcasting, camera streaming, and remote sound delivery until faculty explicitly turns it off. Turning it off does not restart media automatically. Devices require pairing and session approval before media can cross the room network. LOCAL-FIRST WORKFLOW Sibyl Sim is designed to operate over an approved local network without Internet access after installation and provisioning. Session recordings and transcript evidence remain in protected local storage on the Control Hub. Faculty decide what to share. Automatic LAN is the default; Advanced Connections offers Campus Direct and Ethernet Required for IT-approved deployments. Sibyl Sim is intended solely for education and simulation. It is not a clinical monitor or medical device and must not be used for patient care. Institutions are responsible for consent, privacy, retention, security review, and appropriate device management.
