Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Finder Toolbox at 3.0 against Aqua Temp's 1.9. Aqua Temp's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Finder Toolbox holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aqua Temp has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Aqua Temp's written reviews are positive against 11% of Finder Toolbox's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Aqua Temp ships an update monthly, Finder Toolbox every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
