Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Ikon Pass at 4.7 against Jackson Hole's 3.8. Ikon Pass also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (28K vs 68). Jackson Hole's advantage is review sentiment (31% vs 14%) and iOS requirement (13.6 vs 16.5). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Ikon Pass holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ikon Pass has 28K ratings behind it against 68, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Jackson Hole's written reviews are positive against 14% of Ikon Pass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Jackson Hole ships an update every 3 weeks, Ikon Pass every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
