Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: ANCEL BM200 at 45% against Renogy's 11%. Renogy's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 3.4) and ratings volume (826 vs 30). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Renogy holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Renogy has 826 ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of Renogy's written reviews are positive against 45% of ANCEL BM200's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
