Communication Errors
How about fixing the problem where when its running in the background its like you are in airplane mode no data, no phone calling, and no gps on your phone. If you kill bluetooth and this app connection is lost magically everything works again.

Have been using this for years now and works great. Works great on a lithium battery I have on my ATV, the agm on my truck ant the other two lead acids on my other cars.

After a few use the app quits an i have to reinstall it

When you first open the BM 200 app, it asked you to sign in using the email option does not work. It throws a network error.
Using the Apple login also fails with a network error and you’re forced to use guest mode
After you open the app, it wants you to scan the serial number on the item and this fails with network error

Please add high voltage alarm!
Please add alarm for overvoltage, needed if battery charging too much - this is why I bought the BM200.

Nice device
I’ve been using this for about a year now on a lead acid battery in an RV. I like that I can remotely read voltage but the SoC seems wonky to me. With a load on it and a battery voltage above 12 volts it says the SoC is 28%. Still very useful for voltage k storing in my application.

App generally works OK, except for the annoying frustration of being unable to delete any trips. Every time you go anywhere, the app logs a new trip, and there is no way to delete them or the history of your trips. Pretty significant oversight on the developers part.
Power draw 1.5mA
Great logger! SoC as a metric is flawed. What you really need is voltage over time, especially when the car is off. This module and app will store 30 days worth of data, and when you are within Bluetooth range, you can see the voltage graph which will help you diagnose what’s going on with your battery. If it’s below 11.8v when off, time to get a new battery in most cases.
To the other fellow that gave this 1 star for always being on—first off, the draw is so small that it would literally take months and no driving at all to kill your battery. Secondly, if you are only reading your battery when the car is on, what’s the point?!? You are measuring your alternator or HV pack.

Question mark bad position
In the data view the voltage button is way to close of the question mark so we always hit it accidentally. Good app
Great monitor but…
It’s excellent for the price, but a little tricky to setup (too hard for some people..). Once configured you just need to learn the limitations of bluetooth. Not rocket surgery.
Understanding and using the information requires some knowledge of batteries and car electrical principles ( beyond some people).
The app could be improved with auto rotate back to vertical after landscape graph and more than a few mm spot to go from SOC to Voltage, very frustrating design.
The 10-15 mV drain on the battery is insignificant.

Buggy app
Devices good, app not so much. Bluetooth good, then cycling connected/disconnected even though 3 feet away clear. Two units on one battery: temps agree, voltages agree within 10 mV. SOC agree between two units for 2 days, then suddenly app gives SOC 75% for device#1 at 12.55V, but 82% for device#2 at 12.53 V — *much* lower SOC estimate on dev#1 though voltage *higher* than dev#2. Both correctly configured lead-acid battery. Also the day-long chart shows a constant SOC at a n7mber that *doesn’t agree* with front-panel display. Buggy transfer of data between functions, and parameter-processing.

Piece of garbage
Tried to add device entered the bar code on the package like it says to do all it does is give me a serial code error!!!!! Can’t get past that so basically it’s absolutely useless can’t believe I bought two total rip off

For the people complaining that it only works when you are near it.. well welcome to 1989 it’s a thing called Bluetooth where it only works if you are near the device .. don’t expect to be able to read your battery voltage from across the parking lot .. you need to be near th device to see the voltage .. this should be obvious.
Yes it is a constant drain on the battery .. but the drain is so small it wold take at least a week of just sitting for the meter to even make a true impact on the battery .. i been using this for a few months now to monitor my lithium batteries in my truck and it works great

Packet of a device for $29 I like the crank test. The battery test shows where the vehicle is does everything it’s advertised to do I recommend.
