Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Perigold at none against Rugs.com's shown. Perigold also leads on review sentiment (82% vs 50%) and ratings volume (8K vs 34). Rugs.com's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Perigold holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Perigold has 8K ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Perigold ships an update weekly, Rugs.com every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
