Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: TADA Stages at none against Maisonette's shown. TADA Stages also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Maisonette's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 4). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for TADA Stages against 4.9 for Maisonette. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Maisonette has 2.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
TADA Stages ships an update every 8 months, Maisonette every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
