Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: HIIT Timer at 5.0 against ErgRace Online's 3.2. ErgRace Online's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (13 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HIIT Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. ErgRace Online asks for nothing beyond the download.
