Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Paxton Key at 4.5 against iLOQ's 3.6. Paxton Key also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 205). iLOQ's advantage is review sentiment (43% vs 7%) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 9 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Paxton Key holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Paxton Key has 1.4K ratings behind it against 205, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of Paxton Key's written reviews are positive against 43% of iLOQ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Paxton Key ships an update every 9 months, iLOQ every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
