Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Thirdfort at 4.5 against ITV Studios's 1.6. Thirdfort also leads on ratings volume (706 vs 182). ITV Studios's advantage is review sentiment (58% vs 16%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Thirdfort holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 706 and 182 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of Thirdfort's written reviews are positive against 58% of ITV Studios's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Thirdfort ships an update every 3 weeks, ITV Studios fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
