Fare, lunch, groceries. See where your money went with Monee, an expense tracker for everyday spending in Kenya. Keep a clear record Track payments in KES, choose a category and add a note. Record cash, bank and card payments manually, or paste or share a supported payment confirmation and review its details before saving. Track together Create or join a shared account with up to three people, including its owner. Invite your partner or friends, record contributions and expenses, set shared budgets and see who contributed or paid. Each person signs in separately, and the owner approves new members. Approved members can see and export the full shared history. Choose where it belongs Keep your Personal records separate from Shared. Use Record in when adding, importing or reviewing an eligible payment, then confirm Save. Joining a shared account does not upload your Personal ledger. Captured M-Pesa payments let you choose Personal or a shared account before saving; opening a shared account does not select it automatically. Dismissed capture drafts remain available in Inbox for review. Capture supported M-Pesa messages On iOS 17.2 or later, add the prepared Monee M-Pesa shortcut and configure its Message automation in Apple Shortcuts. Follow the screenshot guide and confirm when you have set it up. On iOS 26, review supported confirmations in a card that matches your Monee theme, with category and account choices. Monee checks the confirmation text but cannot authenticate its sender or browse your SMS inbox or message history. Bank and card confirmations remain explicit imports. You can set up Shortcuts later and keep recording manually. See the bigger picture Review spending by week, month or year, follow category totals and transaction fees, and set monthly budgets. Search your history and export Excel reports with records, summaries and budgets. Shared exports include member attribution. Make it yours Choose from six colour themes. Add Personal spending, budget and quick-action widgets to your Home Screen. Widgets always use Material 3 and remain separate from Shared accounts. Keep your Personal records across Apple devices Core Personal tracking works offline and needs no Monee account. Private iCloud sync is on when no choice has been saved; turn it off in Settings. With sync enabled and iCloud available, opening Monee restores and merges saved Personal records on devices using the same iCloud account. Internet access and available iCloud storage are required, and iOS controls background timing. Shared accounts require sign-in and an internet connection for updates. Your reporting choice Share combined usage totals is on when no choice has been saved. It sends daily payment counts, combined KES totals and activity to help improve Monee, not raw messages or merchants. Turn it off in Settings > Account & privacy. Saved off choices for sync and reporting stay off; Personal tracking works without either. Monee records money; it does not hold or transfer it. It does not ask for your bank credentials or M-Pesa PIN and is not affiliated with Safaricom or M-Pesa. Apple Pay and Google Pay are tracking labels, not payment processing or automatic Wallet access. Need help? hello@pesastack.co
