About

Thinking Walks

Features

A Thinking Walk is a half-hour walk with someone who keeps you sharp. You each walk your own route, in your own city, but you start on the same second, hear the same music, and know the other one is out there too. No video call, no chat, no screen. Just walking, listening and thinking about one question. PLANNING WITHOUT THE BACK-AND-FORTH Tap three moments that suit you and send a link. Your buddy picks one, even without the app. It lands in both calendars as a normal appointment, once or every week. START TOGETHER, HEAR TOGETHER Open the walk just before it begins and the start happens on its own. Both phones play the same playlist from the same second, synced to a shared clock. The music is on your phone in advance, so it works without signal. YOUR MUSIC Add your own audio files from Files or iCloud Drive, several at once. They stay private, live under Your music and play only in your walks. A progress bar shows how far each file is. THE RACE TRACK AND YOUR BEAT SCORE The next bars of the song lie on the road as a waveform: bass, mids and highs in three layers. Breaks, build-ups and drops come at you as gates, with a countdown in bars. In a build-up the road narrows and the vibration in your pocket swells; on the drop you feel the hit. Your beat score shows how well you walk in time, live next to your buddy's. Afterwards it counts: records, streaks and averages. QUIET BY DEFAULT, ONE TAP TO TALK Want to say something on the way? Tap the mic and your buddy hears you live, over the music. Phone to phone, never recorded. YOU KNOW THEY'RE WALKING. NOTHING ELSE. During the walk you only see whether your buddy is walking too. No location, no heart rate. Afterwards you can share your route; the start and end stay hidden. LOGGED AUTOMATICALLY WITH APPLE WATCH When the walk begins, your Apple Watch workout starts with it. Distance, pace and heart rate land in Health. Without a Watch, your iPhone logs the walk. Health data stays on your device. WRAP UP OUT LOUD After the walk, record a short note on where you landed. No keyboard, only voices. Every walk stays easy to find, together with what you said. OR START RIGHT NOW No appointment needed: start a walk that begins in a few minutes and share the link. Anyone who wants can join, each in their own place, to the same music. Thinking Walks is free, with no ads and no subscription.
