What is VRT OnDemand? VRT OnDemand is replacing the current ValleyRide fixed route bus system. VRT OnDemand will provide better transit flexibility than a traditional fixed route bus system. You will schedule a ride, when you need it. VRT OnDemand will not run on a set schedule and will expand the current service area. You will be able to book a trip between any two existing Valley Regional Transit bus stops or any of the virtual bus stops. How do I pay? You can purchase a pass at any of our outlets. You can pay with cash when on the bus when you board at the fare box. You can purchase a pass through our Valley Connect mobile app. More information on fares and passes can be found online at valleyregionaltransit.org. How long will I wait? The drop off window is an estimate based on your desired travel time. Because this is a ride-sharing service, actual drop-off time may vary due to demand. Please understand that while we make every effort to arrive at your desired travel time, you may have a slight wait for the VRT OnDemand due to demand. If you must arrive at your destination at a specified time, we recommend planning your trip to arrive early. When does VRT OnDemand operate? VRT OnDemand runs Monday through Friday. You can request a ride by downloading the mobile app or by calling the Help Desk at 208-345-743. Please visit our website for more information valleyregionaltransit.org.

RTC-OnDemand is the RTC of Southern Nevada’s (RTC) new transit program offering on-demand shared service for Southern Nevada residents and paratransit customers. The new service provides riders with the flexibility to schedule their RTC bus in the RTC-OnDemand zone. How it works: - Paratransit customers living in the RTC-OnDemand zone can call or book their same-day ride on the mobile app and travel within the zone or anywhere in the overall RTC service area. - Non-paratransit customers can book their ride on the mobile app and travel within the RTC-OnDemand zone, including businesses, residences and/or an RTC bus stop to transfer to travel outside of the RTC-OnDemand zone. RTC-OnDemand is an extension of the RTC’s current residential transit system with the current zone servicing the southwest part of the Las Vegas Valley and West Henderson. Service is available daily from 4 a.m. to 1:45 a.m. and costs the same as RTC transit fares, starting at $2 for fixed-route and $3 for paratransit customers. For a list of fares, visit: https://www.rtcsnv.com/ways-to-travel/fares-passes/ Vehicles are ADA-friendly and seat up to 12 passengers and are equipped with free WiFi and three bike racks. Verdict

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
VRT Booking holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 95 and 85 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of VRT Booking's written reviews are positive against 71% of RTC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
