Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Pass at 3.0 against E's 1.0. E's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Pass holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Pass's written reviews are positive against 44% of E's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Pass ships an update every 3 months, E monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
