Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Bluestone Lane at none against NewLeaf's shown. Bluestone Lane also leads on ratings volume (4.2K vs 1) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). NewLeaf's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
NewLeaf holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bluestone Lane has 4.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Bluestone Lane ships an update every 2 months, NewLeaf fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
