The TLAR ("That Looks About Right!") app is designed to improve general aviation pilot situational awareness of aircraft performance. TLAR computes takeoff, climb, cruise, and landing performance of the following single-engine aircraft types (Expert version allows you to build your own plane type, below are pre-loaded): • Aero L39C (L39) • American Champion Super Decathlon (8KCAB) • Bonanza A36 (A36) • Cessna 150M (C150M) • Cessna 152 (C152) • Cessna 170B (C170B) • Cessna 172M (C172M) • Cessna 172N (C172N) • Cessna 172S (C172S) • Cessna 180K (C180K) • Cessna 182P (C182P) • Cessna T-240 (C240T) • Cessna A185F (CA185F) • Cirrus SR20 (SR20) • Cirrus SR22 (SR22) • Cirrus SR22T (SR22T) • Cub Crafters FX-2 (FX2) • Cub Crafters FX-3 (FX3) • Diamond DA40 (DA40) • Glasair Sportsman (GLSP) • Glasair Glastar (GLST) • Harmon Rocket II (HROC2) • Kitfox 7 Series SS (K7SS) • Kitfox 7 Series STI (K7STI) • Mooney M20F (M20F) • North American Aviation T-6G (T6G) • Piper J3 (J3) • Piper PA18 (PA18) • Piper PA22 (PA22) • Piper PA24-250 (PA24250) • Piper PA24-260 (PA24260) • Piper PA28-140 (PA28140) • Piper PA28-181 (PA28181) • Vans RV-4 (RV4) • Vans RV-6 (RV6) • Vans RV-7 (RV7) • Vans RV-8 (RV8) • Vans RV-10 (RV10) • Vans RV-12iS (RV12iS) • Vans RV-14A (RV14A) The basic version of the app is free.  It predicts aircraft performance using user-entered weather and elevation information in a static fashion like a calculator. The pro version requires a subscription, but offers significantly more features and capabilities. It dynamically recalculates performance in real time responding to the aircraft's 3D position and automatically updated weather conditions. With the addition of airfield information from either the included 73,000 airfield global database or user-defined airstrips, TLAR computes additional performance metrics such as predicted height by end of the runway on takeoff, bearing, distance, glide path, and descent rate required to the airfield, predicted stopping point on the runway during landing, approach stability on short-final, displaying that status visually, and audibly in your headset (for aircraft with communication panels that can connect via bluetooth or cable to your phone). The pro version allows the pilot to set tailorable safety margins and warns the pilot if predicted performance will violate any of the set safety criteria. The expert version adds patent-pending emergency glide functionality, telemetry recording, and automatic landing zone loading. It will tell you where and how high you will be when your aircraft will be capable of conducting an engine windmilling turnback to the runway on takeoff or in cruise. During takeoff and climb it will show you your current wind-corrected glide footprint and announce on headset your latest abort point, when a turnback is possible and show you the route of flight back to the runway along with your predicted altitude when reaching the runway. The expert version also has a heads-up display, NEXRAD radar, custom plane types, and store telemetry. We continue to add features to this version. Supported iPhone models: : X and up Operating system: iOS 17 or better for new interface (14.3 thru 16 will download the legacy TLAR version which has nearly the same functions, but a different interface). Supported iPad models: cellular models required (GPS) with minimum A12 chip performance or greater For more information or to download the TLAR Pilot Manual see www.TLARPILOT.com. Land Now helps pilots quickly identify the best nearby airport to land at when conditions start going bad. When weather deteriorates, the workload rises fast. A pilot may have only moments to evaluate nearby airports, compare runway options, think about wind and visibility, and decide where to go. Land Now is built to reduce that workload by turning a long list of nearby airports into a ranked, landing-focused decision aid. Open the app. Press LAND NOW. Get an immediate ranked list of nearby airports, with large turn headings and key landing information presented in a clean, stress-resistant format. Land Now is not a map exploration tool and not a general flight planning app. It is designed for one purpose: helping a pilot make a faster, clearer diversion or landing decision when time and mental bandwidth are limited. KEY FEATURES Instant airport ranking Press LAND NOW to search nearby airports and see them ranked by overall landing suitability rather than simple nearest-distance logic. Built for real-world pilot decision making Land Now helps evaluate factors that matter when you need to get on the ground: • airport distance • runway length • runway surface • wind and crosswind considerations • current weather conditions • forecast trend information • overall landing suitability Large TURN TO heading Each airport result includes a prominent heading box so you can quickly orient toward the best option without digging through menus or clutter. Weather-aware ranking Current and forecast aviation weather are used to help identify airports with more favorable conditions. If weather data is unavailable, the app clearly indicates that results are working from degraded information rather than hiding that fact. Offline airport database Land Now includes a bundled airport database so nearby airport searches remain available even when connectivity is weak. Weather features require internet access, but core airport lookup remains available offline. Simple, uncluttered interface The app is built around calm, readable presentation under stress. No map-first workflow. No unnecessary complexity. Just ranked results designed for fast interpretation. Made for high-workload situations Land Now is especially useful during: • deteriorating VFR conditions • diversion decisions • mechanical issues • uncertain runway choices • unfamiliar areas • situations where a pilot wants a fast, practical airport ranking instead of raw data overload WHY LAND NOW EXISTS Many aviation tools provide information. Land Now is built to provide action. Instead of forcing you to sort through raw airport data, weather products, and runway details one piece at a time, Land Now helps organize that information into a fast, landing-oriented ranking. The goal is not to replace pilot judgment. The goal is to support it when the cockpit gets busy and time matters. DESIGNED FOR PILOTS Land Now was created from a pilot-first perspective with an emphasis on: • low cognitive load • clear visual hierarchy • practical landing factors • fast interpretation • minimal setup • dependable emergency usefulness IMPORTANT Land Now is a decision-support utility only. It does not replace pilot judgment, official weather briefings, NOTAM review, performance calculations, required navigation equipment, or compliance with regulations and operating limitations. Always verify conditions and use appropriate aeronautical decision making. When the weather starts closing in, the best airport is not always the nearest one. Open the app. Press LAND NOW. Turn toward the best option.
