Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: KDE Connect at 61% against CADIO's 0%. KDE Connect also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). CADIO's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CADIO sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. KDE Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.
CADIO holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KDE Connect has 276 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of CADIO's written reviews are positive against 61% of KDE Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
CADIO ships an update every 4 weeks, KDE Connect every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
