Source & Cast holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Source & Cast has 711 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Limelite App's written reviews are positive against 38% of Source & Cast's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Limelite App ships an update every 6 weeks, Source & Cast every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
