Archipic
Read full descriptionHide full description
Archipic is a private photo journal for architects. You notice architecture everywhere — a façade on a walk, a joint at an exhibition, a plan in a book, a model on a desk. Archipic turns that habit into a structured, searchable archive. Take the photo, answer two quick prompts, and it files itself. On iPhone and iPad. CAPTURE IN SECONDS A focused camera built for the street: tap the shutter, two taps to tag, done — fast enough to use while walking. A native viewfinder with grid, level, aspect-ratio guides, tap-to-focus and exposure, pinch zoom, and film-inspired colour looks. Add a Capture action to your Action Button or Siri and you're in the viewfinder without even opening the app. STRUCTURED TAGS, NOT TYPING Every photo is filed with a small, consistent vocabulary instead of a keyboard: - Building — typology (residential, office, public, commercial, civic, hospitality, heritage, industrial, landscape) and room. - Element — structure, openings, envelope, finishes, details and more. - Graphic — artwork, book, drawing, plan, render, model, web and more. Add materials, concepts, a rating, keywords, author/year, or a project — only the fields you want. Can't remember which category something is under? Type its name and Archipic takes you straight to it. GET REFERENCES IN Save straight from Photos, Files, Messages or a screenshot — share an image to Archipic, pick its kind, and it's in your archive. FIND IT AGAIN Browse by Time, by Reference (what's in the photo), by Project, or by Place on a map. Search across every tag. Filter by type, project, favourites, or minimum rating. Pinch the grid to resize it. BOARDS Compose any selection into a print-ready poster — a justified gallery wall — or an A4 journal, exported as PDF, or as a square, portrait or story image ready to share. WORKS WITH YOUR TOOLS Exported photos carry your tags as standard metadata — keywords, caption, title and rating — so they open correctly in Lightroom, Bridge and InDesign. Your capture date comes along too, and a single setting keeps or strips the location when you share. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your photos and tags are yours. They're stored on your device and sync through your own iCloud across your devices — no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no third-party servers. Designed for working architects, by an architect.
