Maintenance Log Book
Read full descriptionHide full description
A local record of things that wear out, what they take, and when you last touched them. Cars, trucks, mowers, tractors, boats, generators, furnace filters, water filters. Anything with an interval. Log what you did, and Logbook tells you what is due, what is overdue, and what to buy before you leave the house. NO ACCOUNT. YOURS TO KEEP. Your records live on your phone and, with Pro, in your own iCloud, so a deleted app or a new phone does not mean starting over. There is no login to expire, no server of ours to lose your records, and no update from us that can reset your dates. Export all of it, any time, free. KNOW WHAT TO BUY Every interval keeps the size, model, or part number, and a photo of the old one. Furnace filter 20x25x1. Oil filter part number. Wiper length. The question in the store aisle is answered before you get there. INTERVALS THAT COUNT FROM WHEN YOU ACTUALLY DID IT By time, by miles or kilometres, or by engine hours. Not a calendar repeat that fires whether or not you did the job. HONEST ESTIMATES Your phone cannot read an odometer. Logbook estimates from your readings, shows estimates as estimates, and asks for a reading instead of inventing a date. BRING YOUR HISTORY WITH YOU Import a CSV export from your previous app. Common vehicle-log layouts import as they are; anything else gets a column mapper. You see everything before a single record is written, and importing the same file twice changes nothing. ONE REMINDER A DAY, AT MOST A morning digest of what is overdue and due this week. Nothing else. THE WIDGET IS THE APP Overdue and due-soon counts on your home screen and lock screen. YOUR LANGUAGE, YOUR CURRENCY English, French, German, Spanish and Russian, chosen in Settings rather than inherited from your phone. Currency is a separate setting, because it is a separate question: run the app in one language and spend in another. Your own words are never translated. Item names, notes and part numbers stay exactly as you typed them. FREE Up to three items, intervals, templates, reminders, the small widget, the full import preview, and export of everything, in every format, forever. WORKS WITH SIRI AND SHORTCUTS "What's due in Logbook." "Log an entry in Logbook." Items and parts show up in Spotlight. LOGBOOK PRO, ONE PURCHASE Unlimited items, iCloud sync, photos, medium and lock screen widgets, imports of any size, eight themes and nine app icons. No subscription. FROM WARESHQ WaresHQ builds practical apps that solve modern problems. They all work the same way: on your own device, with no account to create, one purchase instead of a subscription, and everything you put in exportable at any time. wareshq.com Privacy: Logbook collects no data. The only network traffic is your own iCloud, which you can turn off. The App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected" because that is the truth.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Meshtastic at none against Maintenance Log Book's 1. Meshtastic also leads on device support (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.5 vs 26.0). Maintenance Log Book's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
