A no-nonsense interval timer built for run/walk training. Set a work duration, rest duration, and number of repetitions. Add optional warm-up and cool-down phases. Start the timer and it runs the full workout automatically, announcing each phase change out loud so you don't have to look at your phone. FEATURES - Work, rest, warm-up, and cool-down phases, each independently configurable - Adjustable repetition count - Voice announcements or tone alerts at the start of each phase - Customizable phrases for work start, rest start, and warm-up start - Optional end-of-interval countdown (5s, 10s, or 15s before a phase ends) - Optional intermediate time announcements within a phase (e.g., every 1 or 2 minutes) - Vibration alerts - Pause, resume, restart, and skip controls during a workout - Total time remaining shown on screen - Reset to defaults No account required. No ads. No subscription. No data collected. Built by a former casual runner training for a marathon on his 50th birthday, because I couldn't find a simple interval timer that just worked.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: OutdoorBody at 5.0 against Old's 4.0. OutdoorBody also leads on ratings volume (7 vs 1) and device support (4 vs 1). Old's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OutdoorBody sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Old asks for nothing beyond the download.
OutdoorBody holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OutdoorBody has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
