Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Maisonette at none against CAKE Members's 1. Maisonette also leads on ratings volume (2.8K vs 24) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). CAKE Members's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (87% vs 64%). On price, update cadence, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CAKE Members sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $100.00 per year. Maisonette asks for nothing beyond the download.
Maisonette holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Maisonette has 2.8K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Maisonette's written reviews are positive against 87% of CAKE Members's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Maisonette ships an update every 11 days, CAKE Members fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
