Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Mygate Smart Devices at 4.9 against Atomberg Home's 4.3. Mygate Smart Devices also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Atomberg Home's advantage is ratings volume (39 vs 7). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Mygate Smart Devices holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Atomberg Home has 39 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Atomberg Home's written reviews are positive against 64% of Mygate Smart Devices's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Atomberg Home ships an update every 2 months, Mygate Smart Devices every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
