MergeFit gives you more control over your Apple Health workouts. Merge multiple workouts into one, copy a workout while changing its type or start time, or trim unwanted portions from the beginning or end. ** MERGE WORKOUTS ** MergeFit lets you combine two or more (up to 10) workouts of any type into a single comprehensive workout. All of the data recorded during your chosen workouts is included in the merged version — heart rate, energy burned, cadence, route, and more. The result is a complete workout that looks as though it was recorded in one go. ** TRIM WORKOUTS ** MergeFit allows you to trim any workout by removing portions from the start or end of the session. A new workout is created for the trimmed segment, complete with all of the original health data for just that portion. The original workout stays in Apple Health unless you decide to delete it. ** COPY WORKOUTS ** Create a new workout from any existing workout. Change its workout type, adjust its start time, or both, while preserving the workout’s recorded data. ** GET NOTIFIED WHEN WORKOUTS CAN BE MERGED ** MergeFit can automatically notify you whenever new workouts are eligible to be merged with existing ones. Tapping the notification takes you directly to the merge preview, so you can review the details before merging. ** EXPORT AND SHARE WORKOUTS ** Need to use your data outside of Apple Health? MergeFit can export workouts as FIT files. You can also upload them directly to Strava. MergeFit includes as much of the original workout data as possible in the export. ** USE CASES ** - Accidentally tapped Stop instead of Pause on your watch? Start another workout and merge the two sessions back into one. - Forgot to stop your workout after you finished? Trim away the extra time and keep only the part that matters. - Recorded an indoor ride with your bike trainer while using your watch for heart rate? Merge power, cadence, heart rate, and other data into a single workout. - Recorded a run as a walk by mistake? Copy the workout and change its activity type to Run. - Forgot to record a workout altogether? Copy a similar workout from a previous session and adjust its start time. ** IPAD COMPATIBILITY ** MergeFit works the same way on iPad as on iPhone. While the interface has not yet been redesigned for larger displays, all features are fully functional. ** FREE VS PRO VERSION ** MergeFit is free to download and use, with some limitations: - Free version allows merged workouts up to 1 hour of active duration - Merge notifications are not available in the free version - Workout trimming is not available in the free version Upgrade to MergeFit Pro with a one time in-app purchase to unlock unlimited merging, trimming, and smart merge notifications. Your purchase also helps support ongoing development and future improvements. Exciting new features are in the works!

Verdict
The clearest difference is price: MergeFit at Free against Workout Map's $1.99. MergeFit also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 54%) and ratings volume (30 vs 4). Workout Map's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

MergeFit is free to download; Workout Map costs $1.99 up front. MergeFit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Workout Map asks for nothing beyond the download.
Workout Map holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MergeFit has 30 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Workout Map's written reviews are positive against 83% of MergeFit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
