Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Kamado Joe at none against Mi Platico's shown. Kamado Joe also leads on ratings volume (590 vs 1) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Mi Platico's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
