Forum Playbook is the app for the person running a peer forum, and for everyone sitting in one. YOUR FORUM Set it up once: your members, who moderates, who keeps time, who presents next, and when you meet. The next meeting sits on the home screen with its presenter, its coach, and where you are meeting. Everything else in the app runs off it. THE MEETING, BLOCK BY BLOCK The Standard Forum ships as a real four-block meeting you can edit in seconds. Block 1 is 5% reflections around the table, three minutes to share and three for questions, with the order shuffled so it is never the same person first. Block 2 is the planned deep dive. Block 3 is an impromptu deep dive and lightning rounds. Block 4 is housekeeping. While it runs, the screen shows the room what it needs: the block you are in, whose turn it is in type you can read from across the table, what this particular minute is for, and who is next. Pause, add a minute, and the rest of the meeting rebalances. Alerts play through the silent switch and Do Not Disturb, because the phone is face out on the table, and the melody dips so a member can finish their sentence before it escalates. THE PARKING LOT Every topic your forum has parked, EQ and IQ, with who raised it and how long it has waited. When the room needs a topic right now, pull one at random or open the lot and pick. Longest parked comes first, because that is the point of parking it. SIZE A TOPIC Answer four questions and get the answer: a 30 to 40 minute deep dive or a 10 to 12 minute lightning round, the protocol to run in named steps, and a button that starts exactly that segment. It sizes the conversation. It does not answer it. The forum does that. DECISIONS AND THE DEBRIEF Capture housekeeping while everyone is still in the room: the next location, the next presenter and coach, retreat dates, what is due, who still owes. Then build the recap email in one tap and put the dates on your own calendar and the to-dos in your own reminders. YOUR 5% REFLECTIONS Write them, or photograph the sheet you filled in by hand and let this device read it. Kept on your phone, private, yours unless you tap Share. WHAT ELSE - Reminders that count back from your next meeting: two weeks, one week, 48 hours, 24 hours - Your constitution, imported and searchable, for the questions that only your forum's own rules can answer - In the Moment: what to do when someone gives advice instead of experience, when the room goes silent, when emotion rises and the clock runs out - The field guide: foundations, the meeting, facilitation moves, open coaching, retreats, and the cheat sheets, all searchable offline - History: what every meeting actually took, block by block, and where your forum keeps losing time Built by a forum moderator and trainer. Works with no signal. No account, no sign-in, and nothing leaves your device.
