Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: talkSPORT at 4.7 against PDC's 2.9. talkSPORT also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 14%) and ratings volume (2.5K vs 88). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
talkSPORT holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: talkSPORT has 2.5K ratings behind it against 88, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of talkSPORT's written reviews are positive against 14% of PDC's.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
