MilerMeter's job is to help you precisely measure the distance of a run, bike ride, or walk. Use it to choose the route you'll take the next time you head outside, or use it after you get back from an impromtu workout or long walk to see how far you went. MilerMeter comes from the same disturbed mind that brought you www.gmap-pedometer.com, which is the desktop-oriented website version of the same thing. This means that you can synch your saved routes with www.gmap-pedometer.com, and switch back and forth between the roomy desktop map and the convenient mobile version without having to enter data twice!

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Wahoo at 4.7 against MilerMeter's 3.3. Wahoo also leads on review sentiment (42% vs 14%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). MilerMeter's advantage is iOS requirement (7.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wahoo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and MilerMeter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Wahoo holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wahoo has 43K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 42% of Wahoo's written reviews are positive against 14% of MilerMeter's.
Wahoo ships an update fortnightly, MilerMeter every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and June 10, 2026 respectively.
