Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: truTV at 4.5 against YouTube TV's 3.6. truTV also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs subscription) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). YouTube TV's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (60K vs 14K). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
