Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: QuakeFeed Earthquake Alerts at 4.8 against Epicenter's 4.4. QuakeFeed Earthquake Alerts also leads on ratings volume (101K vs 39) and monetization model (freemium vs paid). Epicenter's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
