Bonhams Fine Art Auctioneers & Valuers: auctioneers of art, pictures, collectables and motor cars. Bonhams, founded in 1793, is one of the world's largest auctioneers of fine art and antiques. The present company was formed by the merger in November 2001 of Bonhams & Brooks and Phillips Son & Neale. In August 2002, the company acquired Butterfields, the principal firm of auctioneers on the West Coast of America. Today, Bonhams offers more sales than any of its rivals, through two major salerooms in London: New Bond Street and Knightsbridge; and a further three in the UK regions and Scotland. Sales are also held in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Carmel, New York and Connecticut in the USA; and Germany, France, Monaco, Hong Kong and Australia. Bonhams has a worldwide network of offices and regional representatives in 25 countries offering sales advice and valuation services in 60 specialist areas.

BDDW holds frequent auctions that are accessible through our very own auction platform, where great deals can be found on a range of select BDDW items: an eclectic mix of one-offs, prototypes, misfit floor models, and brand-new pieces designed by Tyler Hays. Our auctions are the only way to access our archival, collectable works, holiday puzzle batches, and auction-only pieces. This app makes our already popular auction platform more accessible and user-friendly: notifications sent directly to your iPhone, streamlined bidding, and more.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: BDDW Auctions at 100% against Bonhams's 19%. BDDW Auctions also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.1) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Bonhams's advantage is ratings volume (149 vs 11) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Written reviews point the same way: 19% of Bonhams's written reviews are positive against 100% of BDDW Auctions's.
Bonhams ships an update monthly, BDDW Auctions weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
