Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Spot Outlet at 5.0 against THE OUTNET's 1.6. Spot Outlet also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 16.4). THE OUTNET's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (56 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Spot Outlet holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: THE OUTNET has 56 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
THE OUTNET ships an update monthly, Spot Outlet every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
