Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AcuApp® Acupressure at 75% against RxLocal's 28%. AcuApp® Acupressure also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 16.0). RxLocal's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 3.5) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 36 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

RxLocal holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RxLocal has 78K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of RxLocal's written reviews are positive against 75% of AcuApp® Acupressure's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

RxLocal ships an update every 5 weeks, AcuApp® Acupressure every 36 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
