Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: iViewer 4 at 80% against PowerView's 28%. iViewer 4 also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 16.6). PowerView's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (2.4K vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

PowerView holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PowerView has 2.4K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of iViewer 4's written reviews are positive against 28% of PowerView's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

iViewer 4 ships an update every 4 months, PowerView every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
