Big Finish Audiobook Player is free to download; Meanwhile costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Big Finish Audiobook Player holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Big Finish Audiobook Player has 2.6K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Meanwhile's written reviews are positive against 74% of Big Finish Audiobook Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Meanwhile ships an update every 12 months, Big Finish Audiobook Player every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
