Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: MLB at 4.7 against Chicago Baseball Sox Edition's 4.1. MLB also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 84 months) and ratings volume (956K vs 7). Chicago Baseball Sox Edition's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 16) and iOS requirement (14.5 vs 18.0). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
