Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Applause Talent at none against Masquerade Dance's shown. Applause Talent also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Masquerade Dance's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Masquerade Dance holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 267 and 247 respectively.
