Measuring sound is what we do. NoiSee — Worthy of the name "Sound Level Meter" NoiSee is an intuitive professional-grade sound level meter for iPhone and iPad. It features all the tools expected from a professional ANSI or IEC compliant Sound Level Meter. All filters, averaging modes and statistics meet or exceed class 2 requirements of the relevant ANSI and IEC standards. NoiSee is specifically designed for Occupational Health and live-sound measurements. It was created by a team with over 20 years of experience in calibration, owning a Sound Level Meter calibration laboratory meeting ISO 17025 requirements. The same calibration equipment was used to develop this app. IMPORTANT NOTE Supported devices with a calibrated and frequency-response-compensated internal microphone: iPhone 12 mini, 12, 12 Pro Max, 13, 15, 16 Plus, 16e, 17 Pro Max, iPhone Air; iPad (9th gen), iPad (10th gen). The app also includes parameters and UI optimised for live events and live audio monitoring, including running LAeq (5, 10, 15 and 20 min averaging intervals). The initial calibration is determined by testing in an anechoic chamber meant for calibration of professional Sound Level Meters. We do not recommend changing it on supported devices, as internal microphone sensitivity varies insignificantly between units of the same model. Requires iOS 17 or later. Dynamic range approximately 40–100 dB (re. 20 µPa); frequency range 40 Hz – 18 kHz. SOUND LEVEL METER History (profile) view of all relevant parameters. Statistics view of the current measurement (ISO 1996 percentiles), also visualised as a histogram. • Time weightings: Fast, Slow, Impulse, Equivalent • Parameters: LAeq, LCpeak, LAFmin, LASmax, SPL, and more • Spectrum view: time-history of frequency- and time-weighted level. CPB analysis per IEC 61260 and ANSI S1.11, from 1/1 down to 1/24 octave. NOISE AT WORK Occupational-health compliant (ISO 9612, OSHA, NIOSH): Noise DOSE, elapsed time, LEX 8h, Projected DOSE, Time to reach 100% DOSE. Threshold, reference level and exchange rate can be set to custom values. EXTERNAL MICROPHONES Tested with MicW i436, i437 and D236, and Dayton Audio iMM-6 and iMM-6C — calibrated measurement microphones complying with Class 2 (IEC 61672). With an acoustic calibrator, NoiSee can calibrate automatically. Connect via USB-C, or via the Apple USB-C / Lightning to 3.5 mm adapter. IN-APP PURCHASES Premium octave analysis: • Non-standard time weightings (1/16 s up to 16 s) • Spectrum in 1/3 octave or finer Logging: • One-second logging of spectrum and total parameters • Profile view beyond 2 minutes • CSV export Recording: • 24-bit WAV or AAC Reporting: • PDF report export

SoundMeter X turns your iPhone or iPad into a handheld data-logging sound level meter (SLM), data-logging noise dosimeter, stereo signal generator, multi-channel data recorder, and real-time whole or 1/3 octave band spectrum analyzer (subscription or perpetual license required for most features--14-day free trial available). Input signals can be acquired from any available audio input path. Sensitivity calibration can also be performed for any audio input device and/or input channel. Direct hardware support (automatic sensitivity calibration, based on factory-defined values) for The Modal Shop’s 2-channel 485B39 USB-ICP interface and miniDSP’s UMIK-1, UMIK-2, and EARS microphones. In addition to real-time sound level measurements, SoundMeter can stream raw sound data to audio files, and store acquired sound level data, including date, time, and location, in CSV or TXT (tab-delimited) files, MAT-files, or high-resolution PDF images for later retrieval from your device. SoundMeter may be downloaded for free from the App Store. Additional tools and features are offered via in-app purchase. The SoundMeter Pro subscription includes: - User-defined custom metadata in saved audio and data files - Level MeterLp, Leq, Lx sound levels -- Standard Flat, A, C frequency weighting -- Standard Fast, Slow, Impulse time weighting -- Data logging. Data can be logged as often as every 0.1 seconds for up to 8 hours, every second for up to 72 hours, or every 10 seconds for up to two weeks. -- Event notifications - Max Levels Meter -- Traffic-light-style meters make it easy to monitor 2 separate sound level thresholds in 2 independent user-defined frequency bands. -- Define lower (warning) and higher (limit) sound level thresholds for overall (full audio band) levels as well as for individual octave frequency bands. -- Store user-defined thresholds in files for later recall. - Noise Dosimeter -- 8-hour Noise Dose, Projected Dose, TWA calculations -- Criterion Levels: 80, 85, 90 dB -- Exchange Rates: 3, 4, 5 dB -- Data logging. Data can be logged as often as every 0.1 seconds for up to 8 hours, every second for up to 72 hours, or every 10 seconds for up to two weeks. - Real-time Octave Spectrum Analyzer (RTA) -- Lp, Leq, Lx sound levels -- Supports whole or 1/3-octave frequency bands -- Standard Flat, A, C frequency weighting -- Standard Fast, Slow, Impulse time weighting -- NC, RNC, and NR references curves, NC, SIL, and NR values -- Data logging. Data can be logged as often as every 0.1 seconds for up to 8 hours, every second for up to 72 hours, or every 10 seconds for up to two weeks. - Multi-channel Data Recorder -- Supports up to 8 channels -- Live monitoring of recorded data -- Metadata (including calibrated sensitivity) embedded in audio file (AIF, CAF, WAV), optionally saved in separate data file - Stereo Signal Generator -- Left and right outputs assigned to arbitrary hardware output channels -- Random and pseudorandom (periodic) noise sequences with white or pink spectrum -- Linear and logarithmic frequency sweeps -- Dual periodic waveforms with arbitrary frequency and phase difference - MultiTool -- Powerful data monitoring and project management (Add 2-6 subtools, depending on screen size, and save configurations for easy recall at a later time.)
