Calibrate
As title suggests, so long as you can calibrate the mic you’re using against a Class 1 SLM, in my opinion this seems to be the best “SLM App” available and as such, a good indicator of time weighted (LAeq) & 3rd Octave numbers = 👏🏻💯🙏🏻
Gets the Job Done
For what I was needing this sound meter app got the job done. This app renders a lot of data that I did not quite understand but that is ok. As another reviewer stated, this app will fail upon startup at times but that is easily overcome. 5 stars!
Good, could be better
I’m no expert. I like the graphics, I plan to use it in restaurants. I can report the cicada background here is 50+ db
I’d appreciate explanations of the terminology or a link for it.
If you need to reset just turn it off and on, which seems unobjectionable for such a cheap app.

Useful with scope for improvement
Would be nice to have integration with Shortcuts and ability to save data to Apple health. I can then automate sampling based on events and time.
Exactly what I wanted
It’s doing the simple things I wanted and I am learning more and more about sound environments and the more sophisticated details I should be examining.
Hangs
Seems like a nice sound level app. It hangs and locks up when opening. Only way to get it to run is to reboot it by swiping it closed and restarting it. It works fine till I close it and try and run it again at which time it is locked up
Great when it was supported
No longer works on iOS 14, and an update doesn’t seem likely
There are better for less
I am a regular user of the NIOSH sound level meter developed by this company. Today I found the NOiSee dB meter and from the description, it sounded like it fit what I was looking for- mostly over the NIOSH app is the ability to see graphed results. First the good- the best part about this app is the time to 100% dose. Helpful for workplace sound surveys. The bad- for US/ OSHA, there are too many unnecessary features. The resolution in the graphs are way too big. 10 seconds? Won’t show echos or secondary pulses. The biggest negative is you can’t save or send a survey. That costs extra, not explained in the description. $0.99 won’t break the bank but the NIOSH dB meter has better functionality for free, however it does only measure to OSHA or NIOSH standards. I did use a QC-10 calibrator with a Dayton Audio iMM-6 external mic and had to correct -8.5. With the external mic after calibration, the readings are 2dB higher than my 3M Edge 4 dosimeter.

PDF Reports don’t seem to work
I just purchased the reporting function, doesn’t appear to work...!
Amazing!
Thought for sure I’d have had to buy an expensive meter to do what this app can do!
great app
Here is an advice: can you hide the shopping cart icon for purchased users? Since I’ve buy the two additional item, the icon there looks strange...
thx.
thx.
NoiSee decibel counter
Clear charts and easy to decipher. Use it to log aircraft noise for evidence over limit.
However warned my iPhone may slow using it as needs updating by the developer. Now realise can't find the labs address to inform. As I've paid for this needs resolving otherwise will have to cancel.

Clear display and usefully configurable
Beautifully clear display with the benefit of showing one minute of history or the different frequencies within the noise. Nicely damped readings unlike others that jump all over the place. Developed by a professional sound lab. Configurable sample rates and scales. Helped me tune the exhaust on my race car to pass noise tests. Excellent.

Great App BUT
Really cool app but it crashes a lot on start up
If that was fixed would be 5 stars

Practical and useful!
I couldn't believe the functionality. All the relevant parameters and even dose is available on this iPhone sound level meter. And comparing it to my calibrated SLM it was very accurate. They deliver on what they promised. And they promised a lot!
