Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Timeview at 4.8 against xCalendar Toolkit's 3.6. Timeview also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (32 vs 5). xCalendar Toolkit's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. xCalendar Toolkit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Timeview sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Timeview holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timeview has 32 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of xCalendar Toolkit's written reviews are positive against 67% of Timeview's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

xCalendar Toolkit ships an update every 2 months, Timeview fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
