Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Pizza Compass at 74% against Sbarro's 22%. Pizza Compass also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Sbarro's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Sbarro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sbarro has 1.7K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Pizza Compass's written reviews are positive against 22% of Sbarro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Pizza Compass ships an update every 5 months, Sbarro fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
