GPX viewer 2 is my independent app for viewing and following your GPX routes. Carefully crafted for all outdoor enthusiasts – hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists and geocachers – with no ads and no subscription. Import your routes from GPX files (tracks or routes), even if your file contains multiple tracks. Display them on a wide range of base maps (standard, satellite, OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap, Swisstopo, IGN…) or on your own custom maps, and download them for offline use. Browse the interactive elevation profile, statistics, points of interest, image galleries, and even an audio guide if your GPX file includes one. Weather conditions at the start of your route are also available. Follow your progress in real time and head out with confidence thanks to the navigation tools: compass, altitude, speed and manual bearing markers. With an Apple Watch, send your routes to your wrist and follow them with your iPhone in your pocket: the track, its direction and its points of interest, in a pared-back interface that stays readable at a glance. The app contains everything you need to go hiking and follow your route. To go further, three Pro levels are available as a one-time purchase – no subscription and no ads. A great way to support the app's development. Thank you! ADVGuide brings the stories behind the Backcountry Discovery Route along for the ride. Designed for adventure motorcyclists, ADVGuide provides location-aware audio tours that follow BDR and BDR-X routes. As you ride, the app automatically plays stories, history, local lore, and practical information tied to the places you are passing. There is no schedule to follow and no need to stop and search for information along the way. Download your tour before the ride, and ADVGuide can continue working when cellular service disappears. As you travel the route, ADVGuide recognizes your location and plays relevant audio at the appropriate points. The experience is built around the actual BDR route, helping you better understand the landscapes, communities, people, and events connected to the ride. With ADVGuide, you can: • Follow location-aware audio tours created for BDR and BDR-X routes • Hear stories automatically as you approach relevant locations • Discover the history, people, landmarks, and communities along the route • Learn about local lore, geology, wildlife, and regional culture • Receive practical route information at useful locations • Download tour content for offline use • Browse route and section information before your trip • Review previously played audio points in your tour history • Purchase individual route tours based on your next ride ADVGuide is built to work in the background so you can keep your attention on the trail. You may be using a navigation app, listening to music, running another application, or riding with your screen off while ADVGuide continues monitoring your progress along the route. Tours are available as individual in-app purchases. Once downloaded, the tour content is stored on your device for offline use. ADVGuide is designed to complement the official BDR tracks and your preferred navigation system. It does not replace maps, GPS navigation, current route information, or good judgment. Always verify road, weather, fire, and closure conditions, carry appropriate navigation tools, and ride within your abilities. ADVGuide is an independent product and is not affiliated with Backcountry Discovery Routes. We encourage riders to support the BDR organization and its work creating and maintaining these routes. Ride the route. Know the story. Don’t miss the good stuff.
