KICK’s a live streaming platform where creators kick it with their communities. (Yeah, we said the thing…) Our creators march to the beat of their own drum, as do we, disrupting our opps with a 95-5 subscription split, our creator incentive program, and the freedom to multistream. That’s why the likes of xQc, Asmongold, and MaxHolloway all pick KICK. For viewers, it’s the fear of missing out that compels them to tune in, the chance to be part of internet culture, all in real-time and ad-free. but lets be real, no one reads these, so if youve made it this far, at least give the app 5 stars. it will good for my performance review. thanks :) P.S. Verdict
KICK and ProTube both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 74% of ProTube's written reviews are positive against 48% of KICK's. ProTube also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). KICK's advantage is ratings volume (146K vs 16K) and chart position (#12 vs #188). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. KICK sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $6.49 per month and ProTube sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for KICK against 4.8 for ProTube. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KICK has 146K ratings behind it against 16K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 48% of KICK's written reviews are positive against 74% of ProTube's.
KICK ships an update every 3 days, ProTube weekly. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
