Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: LumiTool at 2.3 against LaserBurn's 1.7. LaserBurn's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (28 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

LumiTool holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LaserBurn has 28 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of LaserBurn's written reviews are positive against 0% of LumiTool's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

LaserBurn ships an update every 3 weeks, LumiTool every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
