Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Earjoy Intelligence at 2.6 against Fongool's 2.1. Earjoy Intelligence also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (502 vs 72). Fongool's advantage is review sentiment (28% vs 14%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Earjoy Intelligence holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Earjoy Intelligence has 502 ratings behind it against 72, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Fongool's written reviews are positive against 14% of Earjoy Intelligence's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Fongool ships an update every 6 weeks, Earjoy Intelligence fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
