About

EngraveKit

Features

EngraveKit turns a photo into a file your laser engraver can use: a 1-bit PNG with the right DPI, an SVG in millimeters or a depth map for 3D engraving. Remove the background, pick wood, slate, leather, acrylic or anodized aluminum, set the width in millimeters and export. No subscription. Pro is a one-time purchase, and AI credits never expire. FROM PHOTO TO LASER FILE • Open a photo from your library or from Files, or drag it onto the canvas. • Remove the background on your device with one switch. • Set the width in millimeters. The height follows the photo, and the preview shows the result at the chosen size and resolution. • Pick a material. EngraveKit sets the resolution, and with Pro also tone and dithering. The presets are starting points you can fine-tune. THREE KINDS OF OUTPUT • Engrave: 1-bit PNG with embedded DPI, from 127 to 508 DPI. Nine methods: Threshold, Floyd-Steinberg, Jarvis, Stucki, Atkinson, Sierra and ordered 2×2, 4×4 and 8×8. Adjust brightness, contrast, gamma and sharpening, invert for dark materials and mirror for reverse engraving on acrylic. • Vector: SVG with millimeter dimensions for cutting or vector engraving. Clean outlines with adjustable threshold, smoothing and speck removal. • Relief: 16-bit grayscale depth map for 3D engraving, estimated on your device. White is the highest point. PNG files carry their DPI and SVG files their size in millimeters, so they import at the size you set. AI STYLES, OPTIONAL Turn a photo into Line Art, a Woodcut, a Pet Portrait Sketch or a High-Contrast Portrait before you dither or trace it. A style costs 1 credit at standard resolution and 2 credits at high resolution. Styles are created by Google Gemini through the EngraveKit server in Germany. EngraveKit asks before the first upload and sends only the photo you selected. The EngraveKit server does not save it. Google may keep requests for up to 55 days to detect abuse. FREE AND PRO Free: background removal, Threshold and Floyd-Steinberg, brightness, contrast, invert, mirror and PNG export in full quality. EngraveKit adds no watermark and does not reduce resolution. Pro is a one-time purchase and adds material presets, all dithering methods, gamma and sharpening, SVG export and relief export. Credits come in packs of 25 and 100. They never expire. Your first 5 AI credits are included. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No sign-up and no tracking. An anonymous account keeps your credit balance, and you can delete it in Settings at any time. Photos leave your device only when you apply an AI style. ON ALL YOUR DEVICES One purchase works on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Restore Purchases brings Pro and purchased credits to your other devices. On the Mac, EngraveKit requires Apple silicon. EngraveKit is made by Bjoern Kindler, Kindler Dev. Questions or ideas? Write to me at info@kindler-dev.de. Made with love in Unterhaching
