Only a shared ledger you intentionally create or join is synchronized among its members through iCloud. Owners manage members and permissions; participants can edit or view according to access. Leaving removes the ledger only from that participant, while owners receive a clear warning before deleting a ledger for everyone. Expense tracking isn't only about numbers.
